The only captain I trust to take me fishing at this point

Have tried various charters out of both Montauk and RI and ended up sticking with Capt. Sheriff for the past 7 years or so multiple times every summer. Not only because he is a fun guy to spend time with but because I catch more and larger fish with him. At first I thought I was being superstitious and figured I had just gotten lucky with him but I now realize that is not the case. 

30+ lbs stripers every time I go out with him is no fluke (pun somewhat intended). His 600 HP engines get you out to the fishing spots way faster than the other charters leaving at the same time, this difference alone probable netted us an extra hour and a half of fishing time that others don't get. As for the size and quantity of the fish, that comes down to the dynamism of his approach. Where many captains get stubborn and insist on staying somewhere even when you aren't catching anything he restlessly pursues the good spots until you are getting your money's worth.
