Captain Sheriff and RISAA member Bob Matteson fished the Bay on Wednesday before the next several days of high winds and storm coming our way. We fished from 1pm to 6pm looking for small rock piles and structure away from the popular marked reefs for productive spots needed for upcoming charters. We spent more time anchoring and surveying the bottom than actual fishing. However, we did find productive spots just off Hope Island, smaller structure near General Rock and Halfway rock. We caught 12 Tautogs, released most of them, the biggest was 7.5 lbs and the average were 19 inches. The best fishing for us was around 4pm to 5.45pm. A pic of the 22.5 inch, 7.5lb Tautog is posted in the gallery
