On Thursday , May 25, Capt Sheriff and 2 quests fished the RI south shore for Striped Bass and fluke. While fluking was challenging in terms of capturing legal size fluke, bass action got red hot that day. Sea gulls were working the surface from the bass pushing up silversides to the surface. My group caught 9 keeper bass while keeping 6. Numerous school sized bass were released that day as well. Sea conditions were perfect with little wind, and no fog. We caught bass until dark. We could have caught the fish by trolling but decided to cast jerk baits, deadly diick's and top water plug at them.
