Capt. Sheriff sailed with 4 guests on Saturday evening at Block Island. Bass and Blues were stacked up on a hump on the North side of the island. The charter clients who never fished saltwater caught 13 bass to 25 lbs with over 15 Blues as well. Every bass caught or released was over 28 inches. All 4 anglers were hooked up on every drift. Once we sorted out the fish and remains of fishing gear each pass, we regrouped and continued to make made additional drifts over the productive area. The fish were caught on diamond jigs and eels. Most other boats in the area were trolling and catching blues. The bass were down below the blues and that is why the jigs produced well. Fish were eating sand eels and squid. A great evening of non stop fishing action on the water.
