Captain Sheriff and First Mate Bob Matteson sailed with a family of 5 for Block Island in search of Seabass, Stripers and Blues. While live eels are becoming difficult to purchase recently, the captain had some left over previous charters. Since the main goal was putting young family anglers on fishing action, we got a late start for Stripers. We did land a 25 lb Striper and several slammer blues on the one rod rigged with eels. The young anglers caught approximately 45 SeaBass with 20 keepers before seas picked up in the afternoon. We moved to calmer waters and picked up several scup and short fluke to finish out the day!
